Zack and Becca’s wedding was on the last weekend in July, and it was held in Chehalis, WA at Becca’s parent’s home. The gardens looked beautiful! Kudos to the decorating team. There was a bit of everything at the wedding, from hummingbirds flying to and fro to beautiful sunshine and of course the parisian inspired decorations and cupcakes. Congratulations Zack and Becca.

Today has been an editing day for me and I’m currently working on Zach + Becca’s wedding last month. Becca’s parent’s have a wonderful garden where her wedding was held and since I got to the house really early I was able to roam around and hang out and imagine what kind of shots I was going to get that day. As I was walking, I spied a hummingbird zooming to and fro among the flowers and I couldn’t help myself. This time I got about 10 sec to photograph the hummingbird as it went about it’s busy work.

Tom and Kathryn’s engagement session took place @ 7:30 am on a Tuesday morning in Seattle. We met up under the space needle and went around the Seattle Center and finished the shoot at Kerry Park. It was great to do a morning shoot since there was barely anyone up or around, the only problem is trying to get up that early when I’m a night owl (not the partying type–just a lot of late night photo editing).

Jordan + Lauren Tibbet’s Creek Manor Wedding | Issaquah, WA

Jordan and Lauren’s wedding was held at the Tibbet’s Creek Manor in Issaquah, WA. What a memorable day it was for the couple. It was so much fun, especially the dancing. Since they decided not to see each other before hand they had commissioned me for a day after bridal session. The couple’s friends and family really enjoyed a good laugh, and you could hear the joy especially in the toasts! Congratulations Jordan and Lauren.

After the first dances, the party was inaugurated with the stanky legg and the dancing kept going until Jordan and Lauren exited. There was definitely a few dance circle’s during the party, and a lot of talented friends jumping in to show off their moves!

Jordan and Lauren’s hang out spot while they were dating was the Wow Bubble Tea on Ave in the University District so we had to stop by and get a couple of after wedding drinks, a refreshing end to a wonderful day.

I’ve really enjoyed so far all of the weddings that I’ve been fortunate enough to photograph this year. My season is past it’s 2/3 mark, I’ve photographed 27 out of 40 booked weddings. I’ve never been commissioned to photograph that many weddings in a single year before and I’ve realized that only by God’s grace I can keep up the energy to do so. I’m currently in the process of editing Jordan and Lauren’s wedding and am excited to put up their photos soon. It’s been a blessing to see so many couples covenent themselves to each other in marriage and it encourages and reminds me to continually remember my promises and covenent to my wife.
