With the record number of weddings that I’ve been commissioned to photograph this year, I originally wasn’t planning on photographing any weddings in November or December so that I could get some rest and get ready for 2011. However after meeting up with Charles and Greeny, I made an exception. They were such an awesome couple, and from the beginning I felt as though I’ve known them for a while. Their wedding and reception was at Ray’s Boathouse in Ballard. It’s the second time I’ve photographed at the venue and I really enjoyed returning.
Although it didn’t rain, the wind was so strong, and Charles and Greeny and their wedding party were troopers as we had part of the photo session outside. My fingers were getting numb at this point from the cold. The highlights for me at this wedding was listening to Greeny’s family sing during the wedding ceremony, the amazing food (thanks to Ray’s Catering), and the joy, celebration, and dancing that was shared by the friends and family of Greeny and Charles.
Check out the video after the photos by my buddy Isaac who has been great to work with this year.
