Fourth of July Weekend this year was gorgeous, and Thomas and Kim were blessed with the much needed sun out here in the northwest. Their wedding day began at Kim’s parent’s house where Thomas and his family came out with lots and lots of gifts for the traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony. After all the traditional formalities, Kim was presented to Thomas, dressed in an amazing blue traditional Vietnamese Dress. Tea was poured, blessings were made and then off to Thomas’ Parents house. More tea of course and then an awesome lunch for the family members. This is something I don’t get much of during the wedding day (rest time!!!) I think I had a two hour break after Kim got into her wedding dress. We met again afterwards with the wedding party at a train station near the Pickering Barn and had some time for fun rail-car photos. The western ceremony was probably the fastest I’ve ever photographed I didn’t quite believe it when Thomas told me it was going to be fast and yup it was fast…luckily I had a quick camera. The reception at the Pickering Barn was fantastic, the food catered by Blue Ribbon (one of my favorites), was delicious, then lots of dancing followed by a little night photography to end the evening! Congratulations guys.
