Wow I can’t believe it is already August. I’m well into the wedding season right now, photographing at least 1 and sometimes even 2 weddings a weekend through July. In the meantime, the weddings I’ve been to early this summer is stacking up in my queue, and I’m very excited to share the weddings with you all. I met Steve and Kendra a month ago at their wedding on June 30th in a little town called Peshastin that’s right next door to Leavenworth. I just got back to Washington from Utah a few days before their wedding and decided to head over a day early to meet them. The couple are from Florida and they commissioned me to photograph their wedding via email and phone conversations. However, because of the distance between us we never got a chance to meet until they flew up to the Northwest to tie the knot and celebrate with their friends and family. In June the weather here in Washington is very capricious and you can’t really trust what the meteorologist predict, which is why you always get the weather report of cloudy, showers, and sun, (sometimes even thundershowers) all within a day. Which is exactly what we saw, looming thunder clouds, light showers and of course the sun shining through. The wedding venue that Steve and Kendra chose was the Beecher Hill House in Peshastin, WA, a beautiful 100 year old historic manor with exciting views, a waterfall grotto, and beautiful gardens, all within a few hours from Seattle, WA, and a stone’s throw to Leavenworth, Washington’s German town. The wedding day was fantastic, everyone had a great time, and the next day before I headed back to Seattle, we met up in the morning at Leavenworth before any of the shops opened and did a quick morning after session. Thanks so much Steve and Kendra and your family and friends for your hospitality and fun. Enjoy your wedding photos. Cheers!
