Margaret and Jason’s wedding began in Burien, travelled to Wallingford, then University District, and finally Ballard! It was a wonderful day and after going through all of the photos, I realized lots happened that day and it was fun to reminisce. In Burien, Jason and his entourage showed up bringing gifts and a roasted pig to present to Margaret’s family as in the Vietnamese and Chinese cultures. After the tea ceremony at Margaret’s family’s home, Jason brought home his bride to his family in Wallingford and continued their tea ceremony celebration. After eating well that morning at the homes of Margaret’s family and Jason’s family, Vera and I headed out to Hotel Deca in the University District where Margaret was getting ready for the ceremony. The wedding was held at the UW Newman Center, and soon afterwards we headed to the UW campus, as well as the Ballard Locks for bridal photos. At the Shilshole Bay Beach Club, after dinner, everyone got loose and began the party. The table games were most interesting! Jason had more surprises up his sleeve during the garter toss, and him and a crew of 4 performed some awesome dance moves during the reception! Whew what a day. Lots of memories, lots of love shared by friends and family, and also a little roasting during the reception about a certain groom and his Subaru made for a lot of laughs throughout the evening. Congratulations Margaret and Jason. Cheers!
