What a day for Kelvin + Angela’s Wedding in Minneapolis. I met Kelvin a few years ago while he was still living in Seattle through mutual friends that he and I had. Then he moved to Minneapolis and met Angela. When he called me up to see if I was available for his wedding in Minneapolis, I was honored. However, there came a problem, I had to be back to Seattle the next morning to photograph. Dilemma? Well I wasn’t able to stay for his entire reception, but he had me up a few days in advance to photograph him and Angela around the flooded city of Minneapolis. It was pretty incredible we had thundershowers, sun, rain, the thick humidity, and of course a gorgeous sunset. I put the blog together to make it look like it was all just a one day wedding shoot, but actually Angela and Kelvin donned their wedding clothes a few days before and we went out to shoot. With 10 bridesmaids and groomsmen on each side, I believe this is one of the biggest wedding parties I’ve ever photographed and everybody was awesome! I had a lot of fun you guys it was great to meet you all. Two more things, one, at the salon where Angela was getting her and hair and make up done, there was a baby eagle outside just practicing it’s flying, way cool! Lastly, the coolest thing ever, Angela and Kelvin sang their vows to each other, with Kelvin playing the ukelele and Angela on the guitar. It was amazing, I’m sure everybody cried…I did:). Congrats you guys! Thanks so much for having me out to Minneapolis to photograph your wedding! I only wished I was able to stay for the entire evening and party with you all.
