It was a beautiful and hot day in mid June in the Ruston waterfront neighborhood of Tacoma, where Kia and John tied the knot at the Ruston Chapel. We met up at Point Defiance Park for their first look and a lot of their portraits, but also took a short trip down the 5 mile drive to the location where John proposed to Kia. John’s dad officiated the union of the couple and it was pretty special. Afterwards, a short walk a block from the Chapel to the Point Defiance Tap and Grill and they celebrated with their friends and family a low key and relaxing reception.
