When you think of Washington Summers especially in the 2nd week of August, you probably aren’t thinking of rain. So when Josh and Stefani started planning their Washington State Destination wedding from their home in Minnesota, the middle of August was ideal at the Indian Summer Golf Club. However, just a few days before the weather forecast called for rain and lots of it. So a tent was rented and we made a few changes in the wedding schedule for the weather. We began the morning with a power outage at the venue while Stefani and her girls were getting ready. It was definitely an exciting way to start the day! I made a last minute decision to photograph them at my old Alma Mater (St. Martin’s University) which was close by and had a lot of cover and architecture for photos. The rest of the day was fantastic, although we were a little wet (a few of us~a lot), it never dampened anyone’s spirit and it was an amazing celebration. At the end of the evening the rain stopped and we had the opportunity for a few shots after the rain. Stefani and Josh, thanks so much for having me photograph your wedding. It was definitely challenging with the weather, but it was a very exciting and memorable day. Congratulations!
