Hello Priya, It was fantastic to meet you at the Fairmont last week. I’m very excited to be working with you for Bindu and Daniel’s wedding. I was thinking about locations for both the engagement session and the wedding day and was also interested in the idea of instead of the engagement session using that time to do the styled shoot for them closer to the wedding day. Below are a few ideas.
This is Sanders Estate located in Auburn, WA. I know the owner and we could probably rent the venue for estimated $100/hr to use the space. It’s got the nature backdrops you were wanting including a lake with it’s own swan. It’s about 20-30 minutes south of Seattle.
Below are photos of the Thornewood Castle it’s located about 20 minutes south of Sanders Estate, it’s a really cool castle. I’m not sure if the castle will consider letting us use their space if it’s not for a wedding there, but they might. Here is the contact information for the castle info@thornewoodcastle.com, you can email it to Stephanie who I believe remembers me photographing at the castle. They do have samples of some of my images on their website.
This is Snoqualmie Falls, located about 30 minutes east of Seattle. In order to get to the falls area, we would need a raft to get us across, and Bindu and Daniel would need to change once we get to the Falls area.
When you were talking about the Palm Desert shoot, I immediately thought of Cave B Winery, it’s located right by the Columbia Gorge. This would be a shoot all on it’s own as it is located 3 hours or so from Seattle. But you can see it’s got some really nice views.
All of the locations above are for another day prior to the wedding day. Below are my suggestions we could use in addition to the Fairmont Hotel. First Seattle Center area it’s got a lot of cool modern buildings and backdrops as well as the space needle.
Also this is Kerry Park which has a great view of Seattle Center. This shoot was done at Sunrise.
